Thanks Al! This was one song I really wanted to play when I first picked up a uke but found it a bit too tricky. So it feels like a bit of a milestone to have a workable version in my repetoire. :)

I’ve tried these chords and a few others on the web and listened to it many times…

I have Lyle Lite … and non of these are correct. But some are better cause they are easier to play.
Lyle tunes way down .. thickr gauge ,, plays the opening using
5-7-5-7 /// 5-7-5-8 / 5-7-5-5 / 5-4-3-3

I love this song. Tender backstory. It’s about a guy who had to sell his ukulele on eBay to pay the rent. He had one last evening with it before shipping it off. Tragic.

This is the closest version I could find to the movie version.

Yes, the G6sus2 the G6 are reversed, a typo. The second measure on the first bridge is perfect. Other than that, due to my limited skills, I greatly simplify the bridges, & simply hold the “G” chord & walk my pinky up & down a bit to follow the melody.

Actually, I’ve learned to tune my ukulele UP a half step instead of DOWN a half step, and then play the song as I’d normally play it in the key of F if I was still in standard C tuning.
