Not that anyone cares, 'cause this is so horrible and this post is rather old, but incase you were interested, the translation is something like:
Today's instrument: Ukulele (ukurere.. hehe, but srsly, it is).
Ukulele: A lot like the guitar but it's small and has 4 strings. It is a string instrument from Hawaii. 'Ukulele' in the Hawaiian language means 'flying jumping flea' (I think, my Jap isn't perfect). An essential in Hawaiian music.

Hobbit: My pleasure.

zym: It certainly does. Particularly compared to Guitar Hero.

Emma: Probably because of the guy with the green afro playing maracas.

cbf: There are plenty of people for whom Formby is way bigger deal than Harrison. Strange as it seems.

brian: I know what you mean. I don't really understand the fad for instrument games. But I've never tried it.

Isaac: I didn't realise we had a poet in our midst.

Todd: You should try Worths sometime. They're my favourites (the clear ones at least).

Minamin: Let's hope so. But there isn't even a <a href="http://www.torsopants.com/store/clicks.php?partner=Woodshed&page=http://www.torsopants.com/bandgeekhero" rel="nofollow">theramin hero t-shirt</a>.

If that game really does have over 100 instruments, one of them had better be a theremin.

Thanks Woodshed,

Although I'm about an inch from re-canting......while you get 2 for 1 when you buy the D' Addarios.....

I just may have to bite the bullet and make the Aquilas my "all-time" strings......I haven't tried Worth's yet, but the Aquilas blow everything else I've tried out of the water.....

cheers,

Todd

Apparently you can play something like 135 different instruments just by waving your hand around on that wii game.. I really can't see it being too fun though. I'd probably try for 3 minutes before flailing around everywhere to see what sounds I can make.

that wii game looks AWFUL! and sounds like crap!
with regards to george harrison/formby banjolele, does it really matter if it really belonged to george formby if it did belong to george harrison, i mean really as famous ukulele players go, he's pretty high up there!
i'm so going to the beatles museum when i go to uni now, JUST to see said banjolele
