props to pierre. the differences b/w the christie and nesmith versions are minimal but make all the difference between a throw-away song and the most powerful song EVER COMPOSED (and i can’t believe i would ever say that about michael nesmith). michael nesmith owns this song. way to go ms. polinar and way to go on the uke chords, too.

Can you tell me what the key changes would be in the first line if you were doing the lou christie version? I like it a lot better, especially the Mike Nesmith version of it.
