Comments on: Kala UBass, Gibson Baritone Ukulele

I have a Gibson ub-1 banjo ukelele. I know that it was made before 1925, because it has about 100 notes on it (like year book comments ) and some of them are dated. It needs to be restored. How much does an average restoration cost, and how would I find a reputable person in my area to do the work?

Oh man, I want that last ukulele simply because it’s so horrible. Plus 30 bucks is by no means overpriced.

Hi Woodshed,

Thanks for the great links. Two small corrections: it’s a BU-1 (UB-1 is the banjo uke, not the baritone uke) and the Marvel banjo ukulele is a concert size, not a baritone one. They’re rare, but I used to have one of them.
