sure is… I live an hour drive East of Toronto… we have our own Uker Night here once a month (we’re the “little sister spin off” of Cork Town), but there’s a few of us who drive into the city once or twice a month… if you’re ever this side, come by!

And so it is. I truly am a babe in the woods. Wikipedia tells me her name is pronounced like McEYE, which I never would have guessed.

Just discovered Shelley from a recent post by Gary
on Ukulelia letting us know that she was (going to be) the sole
Canadian rep at the 2nd Helsinki Int’l Ukulele Festival
(Aug. 21-23). As I commented there, who can blame the
Finns for wanting her at their festival.

Also just discovered the 2.0 trailer for the documentary, The
Mighty Uke , & she (I think it’s her, one of the YouTube posters
mentions seeing the woman in the video playing piano on TV)
appears just about at the end, right before Travis Harrelson.
Love Travis, but would much rather watch Shelley.
