i quite like the whole slotted headstock look but mainly because it reminds me of jack bruces gibson EB-3 more than an acoustic guitar.
the new eleukes are pretty damn swanky i have to say i’m very pleased with mine and they look so much cooler than the previous ones.

Sebi: No, never played it.

Ron: I would agree that their ukes are ‘distinctive’. Ks do make for good logos. I think Kamaka and KoAloha have great logos. Particularly Kamaka. Bold, memorable and it’s stayed the same for years without looking dated.

…I think the slotted headstock on the Kala looks grand…very classy…I’m with you on the twiddly markers & the luna logo though…no make that logos in general actualy…Whats wrong with just having a nice label in the soundhole…maybe it’s just me but I prefer the old style EleUke, very ’80’s…

Contrarian that I am, I love the Luna logo, one of the very
best ukulele company logos around in my view. There aren’t many uke logos that impress me. I get the Hawaiian ukulele makers’ various “K” logos confused (and I’ll bet I’m not the only one) & using just a company name makes for a very bland design. The more I think
about it, the better Luna looks to me in a landscape of rather
unimpressive, unimaginative uke logos (I’m not familiar with custom ukulele logos). A readers poll on logos might be very interesting. And I find the ukes themselves to be quite distinctive design-wise, & if they sound as nice as the guitar sounded in the video…

The Kahiko uke is really a beauty, which is also reflected in its price. Have you ever played one, Al? It the sound worth the money?

I find the open-headstock look of the Kala to be irritating. It reminds me of an acoustic guitar right away. Nonetheless, if the instrument sounds great, I wouldn’t mind giving it a try.

I’m not very familiar with Luna ukes, but I agree with you. Papyrus font in a logo is a no-go!
