I can relate to Jay. And the anatomy of females makes the problem even worse for us...My fix was to purchase a small D-ring hinge, double-sided tape it to the bottom, tape around it with duct tape, and attach a strap to it. I do all my live shows wearing the strap. I've not had a problem since. On my website ukemusic.net you can see a photo of me wearing it. It's so much easier to play now that my arm doesn't have to do double duty.

I have played a Flea for about 7 years. Three things I don’t like: First, the rounded plastic body is slippery and I can lose control of the instrument. I compensate by using my forearm to hold it tighter to my body, but this causes the edges of the uke body to dig into my forearm too much. When wearing a Tee shirt it can be rather painful, especially when playing for a long amount of time, and I wind up with welts and inflamed skin on my forearm. Long sleeves help but it is still necessary to hold the uke’s rounded plastic body very tightly to keep it under control. Second, the plastic frets and fretboard are, like the body, a bit too slippery. The nylon strings slip every so often against the plastic board and frets, sometimes causing inaccurate fingering. Annoying. And third, about 6 months ago, the bridge popped off and flew across the room! I don't know why; the strings were under normal tension. The bridge is also made of plastic, and is two pieces: the top piece is snapped into place on the base piece, and then the entire thing is glued to the top of the uke. I guess the snaps on mine were loose or defective or the plastic got old, brittle, and broke. Anyway, when my bridge popped off, one of the snap thingies broke so I couldn’t simply snap the pieces back together. Contacting Fluke, they recommended crazy-gluing it back together. I did so, and it worked, and I haven't had a recurrence of this problem...yet. All that said, I still enjoy playing it for the looks, the loud tone, and the moderate price.

I've had my tenor fluke for a year now, and I love it! It's a natural hoop pine colour.
The slippery back can be fixed by taping on anti slip rubber mesh cut to size. This material is sold in camping stores. Being polycarbonate, this won't affect the finish. I don't need a neck strap.
The non traditional shape (boat paddle) means it will stand up by itself on a level surface.
This uke is a true 'beater'that you can really keep handy. It sounds good and doesn't go out of tune easily.

All I wanted to say is that it's dead easy to find any fluke or flea uke that you want at the Flea Market Music website. Just google it. They they do all the options for necks and pickups, colours and sizes. They construct each uke for each order as well. I bought my standard tenor fluke there, i'm very happy with it. If you go for the peizo pickup it is cheaper to buy separately and install yourself. Be wary that the peizo can be very treble heavy.
