Hello
I just love songs about illegally transporting large amounts of alcohol from one side of america to the other, being chased by police, and CB radios.
In my mind – this is one of the best!
Its the Theme from Smokey & the Bandit, aka….
The song was recorded by Jerry Reed, the bloke who played “Snowman” in the film, and it got to Number 2 in 1977.
enjoy

Jerry Reed is also the guitar player on the original. Please note the sweet chicken pickin’.
Actually this is an almost penultimate example of form.

Haha!
I haven’t seen the movie, but the song is in the brilliant programme “My Name Is Earl”
I love this song!
Thanks

i’m confused doesnt penultimate mean next to last as in bad? i love all the work every player put into making this music for us to enjoy.
penultimate
adj : next to the last; “the author inadvertently reveals the
murderer in the penultimate chapter”; “the figures in
the next-to-last column” [syn: {next-to-last}]
n : the next to last syllable in a word [syn: {penult}, {penultima}]
