About

What’s on the blog?

Uke Hunt is regularly updated with new posts being added (mostly) every other week. You can make sure you don’t miss anything by subscribing to the RSS feed or by getting the posts by email (using the form to the right).

Here’s what you can expect to find on any given day:

Tuesday – Chords
Wednesday – Miscellaneous day. Often used to point out new additions to other areas of the site, theory and reviews.
Thursday – Tabs
Friday – Links: the latest news and goings on in Ukeland.
Saturday – UkeTube: a roundup of my favourite ukulele videos of the week.

Occasional Postings:

Monday – Monday Exposure: hear the ukulele acts you should be checking out.
Friday – eBay Window Shopping: an occasional look at the most wallet-threatening items on eBay.

As well as writing this blog, I also write ukulele ebooks (which you can buy at How to Play Ukulele) and Ukulele for Dummies (which you can buy at any reputable book outlet).

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the chords/tab?

Where it says “[name of song] (Chords/Tab)” in the big orange box.

What software do you use to make your tabs?

I use Guitar Pro 5. You can read my opinions on it here: Guitar Pro Review.

Can you do… by The Beatles?

No, I don’t do Beatles stuff (or anything else it’s easy to find commercial ukulele tabs/chords for). SheetMusicDirect have ukulele transcriptions of pretty much every Beatles song. There’s even an app for that.

Do you mind if I use your ebooks/lessons with my students/ukulele group/friends?

I’d be delighted.

Did you know ‘Uke Hunt’ sounds rude if you say it out loud?

Thinking of the name was the main reason I started the site.

Tab Policy

While some of the tabs on this site are made with the permission and help of the performer, many are not. These are for ‘fair use’ education, non-profit purposes only. I do not transcribe songs for which ukulele tab is commercially available. Links are provided to purchase the music transcribed – support your musicians.

If you own the copyright to a song and want it taken down, please contact me and I will remove it.
