I had borrowed a friend’s 8-string ukulele to see if I would like to have one of my own, and I was hooked. I searched for similar ukes and the Noah website came up.

I have always appreciated craftsmanship and the 8-string tenor lives up to my expectations in every respect. It is superbly made, well-finished with excellent attention of detail. Even little things like the ends of the frets being gently chamfered to give it a smooth feel as my left hand moves along the neck. The wood grain is enhanced by a high-gloss finish and the cream-coloured edge binding is enhanced by a black-white-black decoration, which finishes it off beautifully. The sound hole rosette in mother-of-pearl glows in the sun.

The sound is bright, full and responds well to different types of strumming; a pleasure to play and to hear.

All-in-all this is a lovely instrument which I expect will give me years of pleasure!

Matt Cohen was very helpful, even down to sending me a demo video of the instrument, which convinced me to buy.
