Kala Solid Spruce Top KA-SB Ukulele
Spruce has long been a popular choice of wood for the tops of guitars and mandolins. It is only recently that it has started being widely used for ukuleles such as in this range by Kala. But it’s a good choice of wood for certain types of player. The tone it produces is very immediate and snappy (in contrast to the more rounded, rich tone of other woods) which makes it great for players who really like to play loud and hard.
