This uke is intended as a higher end version of Kala‘s koa range. It’s a slight misnomer since the top of the uke is cedar rather than koa – on the upside, it is solid wood unlike the rest of the ukes in their koa range.

Hello,
I just came back from the music store and this uke was not only the pretiest but it was both my moms and my favorite sounding uke. (although the 8 string was pretty cool too!) I really liked the uke there and wanted to buy it, but the price was too high so i am looking online. All the reviews i read elsewhere were all 100% ratings. I think it is just a little pricy, but then angain, i am just a beginer. I love that uke! good luck on finding “your uke”
