Kala U-Tar Guitarlele

The Kala Utar is Kala’s version of the guitarlele (I don’t quite know why they felt the need to switch the order round – perhaps they were continuing the trend from the UBass). It is tuned exactly like a guitar capoed at the fifth fret i.e. ADGCEA with no re-entrant strings. So the top four strings are the same a low-G ukulele.

Guitarleles are hard to come by. Yamaha used to have one but they don’t seem to be widely available any more. It seems like Kala are the only ones selling guitarleles widely.

Looking for a guitarlele. I cannot find a price here on your site.

Apparently Kala is no longer making the Utar Guitalele (found out directly from them a few months ago). This is sad news as they are the only ones that make an affordable guitarlele that have at least 3 of the strings as steel.

Yamaha only makes them with nylon.
    😛
Anyway – any tips on where I could find one used? I have been all over the net looking! Thanks for the video!

That’s odd because I’ve just entered a competition to win one.
    Remainder stock maybe?
