Addams Family Theme Tune

Addams Family (Chords)

The tune itself is so non-scary that The Wiggles would have rejected it as a little pedestrian. If you really want to scare people, play them the MC Hammer version (it’s enough to frighten the parachute pants off even the most superdope of homeboys).

Anyhoo, back to the real thing. If you’re playing the full, the intro goes like this:

If you’re just going to break out the intro, then it’s easier to play it this way:

Excellent! Another top quality series of tunes! As a rank amateur on the uke, I’m loving your approach of introducing recognisable tunes that anyone can pick up and have a go at. Keep up the good work! Loving your fingerpicking tutorial too!

  8. Anna:) April 25th, 2011 10:59 pm

    Hi,
my older sister got sick of teaching me the uke and i just startd (:/) so i looked up easy uke songs and this website came up.
this song is no very easy and the whole setup is confusing to me and the whole “before you start playing” thing is confusing too.
y cant playing the uke be easy????? my sister makes it look so easy!!!
    HELP!!!!

  9. Helpful advisor April 27th, 2011 12:48 pm

    Anna:

First off, this tab is ranked under the “moderate” difficulty (if you got to this page via google, never mind). To find easier songs, go to “tabs by difficulty”.

Your sister has probably had a lot of practice. No, it’s not nearly as easy as some may think. But keep at it, you’ll get the hang of it eventually.

Helpful: Your advise is indeed helpful. Thanks.

Just to get this out there, Easy is intermediate-ish, moderate is advanced, tricky is really good, and nightmare is pro.

love this one – again great for camp. Thanks so much for all the intro stuff, I have only been playing for 4 weeks and I love finding things I can actually play. (if I had to practice Tom Dohly one more time…)

Thank you for the tab! This is a fun set of chords to play, and a good excuse for practicing that set of changes over and over and over and over and…

One question, though, when you give the tab for the riff, it seems to be in a different key than the chords.

I have been playing g-A -.-. (moving down the frets on the A string) for the lower half of the riff, then A-.-.-. (all on the A string), and that’s in the same key as the chords.
