The Bobby McGee’s – Birdsong (Kabhi Khushi, Khabie Gham)

The Bobby McGee’s – Birdsong (Tab)

How does he have any bandmates left?

I have no idea, but I’m glad Eleanor manages to put up with him because this song is a little gem. The uke part is lovely. It reminds me of Romanza and is entertaining enough to be played just by itself.

Buy The Bobby McGee’s’s latest album on Cherryade Records.

Why did you put the Hindi movie title in the header ?

Apro: Because that’s the official title of the song.

The think the secret to putting up with him is the fact that I can only understand every 15th word out of that man’s mouth.

The title of the song means “Sometimes Happy, Sometimes Sad”….there’s a few good examples of Hindi/Gujerati words being adopted into English: Pajama, Jungle, Bungaloo…I thing “Kushi” became the Geordie word “Kushtie!”.
