Friday Links

Perhaps I’ve been distracted by the Ukulele Strums broo-ha-ha, but the links are looking a bit thin this week.

If this is what happens on all the trams there, I am moving to Toronto.

MP3s: Love.Stop.Repeat has Toad’s uke cover of In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. Tullycraft have Darren Hayman phoning it in.

This Star Wars uke video has the capability to destroy your mind.

Heregoesnothing by Nevershoutnever and 2 Atoms in a Molecule on Uker Tabs.

What Madeline Ava has written on the back of her ukulele.

What happens when a pirate covers 99 Red Balloons on uke?

Here’s a photo I’m fascinated by. Although I’m not quite sure why.

Re. the Toronto ukulele tram… I got sent that link this week as well from a friend who lives there.. apparently there’s a wild weekly ukulele jam in Toronto, and one week they rented a tram instead of going to their usual spot. So jealous and so sad I live 4 hours away…..

The photo of the 2 women on the street, one playing a uke is also from Toronto, just down the street from me. The Corktown Ukulele Jam is great. 75 ukists last week. Every Wednesday.

    oh….and regarding the photo you’re fascinated with….

could it be the mixture of a nice looking lady, a ramones t-shirt, lug boots, and a uke mixed all together? hmmmm :)

Fiona and Ambrose: It certainly looks like Toronto is Uketown Central.

todd: No, it’s none of those things.

The star wars uke video made me think that I had taken some class A drugs. Then it stopped. And I realised that I hadn’t.

as a rider on that lovely little street car, I can say it was the happiest evening of my life.

J-Hob: I think I’d need class A drugs to get through it.

L.Bo Marie: Glad it was as much fun as it looks.
