Lindi Ortega, The Hoosiers, Susie Asado: Saturday UkeTube

Dolly Parton voice + awesome shades + describes herself as a loner = huge new uke crush.

Also this week: The Hoosiers use the uke to flog some Coke (or Pepsi, whichever), Japan’s two nuttiest ukers together, I kill Seeso’s chances in another contest and more.

Lindi Ortega – I’m Not Coming Back To You

St. Claire

Seeso – She Talks to Angels

Darren Hayman

Susie Asado – Hello Antenna

Thanks to Ukulelia for that one.

Franny Deschanel – Oh Please

The Hoosiers – Worried About Ray

Ukestar – Beautiful Sunday

I swear, seeso makes every song he sings sound like it was written for him.

Though I’m with you on Lindi Ortega. Another ukulele girl to crush on.

I agree with Jodi. On both points.

The Hoosiers are a guilty pleasure of mine. I know they’re not great but meh, I dig it. Their video says Irwin is playing a “small guitar”, but I’ll let it slide for the hoosiers.

…love the franny vid delightful as ever, his new site looks impressive, and the franjolele looks cool…It didn’t surprise me when the camera zoomed in on the Iove pizza express badge, yet another endorsement for those corporate whores The Hoosiers…

For some reason, the lyrics “Go! Our white station wagon” are oddly compelling. :)

    CRAP HE’S DONE IT AGAIN

    Hey guys,
This is Pepsi Maxcast! Just so you know Irwin is at it on his Ukulele again on our Youtube channel… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5GA81HwsHg

    Enjoy!

Jodi: I loved the Black Crowes when I was a kid (they were my first gig) but I have to agree that Seeso’s version is better.

Jimmy: Must admit, I’ve always detested the Hoosiers before I saw that video.

Nick: Thanks for mentioning Franny’s site. It’d completely passed me by. Here’s a link for anyone who’s also missed it.

Mary: We don’t use the term ‘station wagon’ over here so it always conjures up images of horse drawn carriages to me.

    Seeso: I do apologise.

    Pepsi: Thanks for the link.
