The Ventures – Hawaii Five-O (Tab)

The Ventures – Hawaii Five-O (Tab)

MIDI

A strange tune this one. Each time the theme rolls through it goes up by a semitone. To make it easier to remember, I’ve kept pretty much the same arrangement each time through (rather than going for the easiest arrangement each time).

The twiddly bits go a bit high, so you’ll need to play it on a tenor. I’ve made a few changes to the tune: one of the twiddly bits is lowered an octave and I’ve sliced a bit off the end.

i was looking for a tab of this recently so thank you for posting this. Can you recommend a uke that goes up to 14. Mine is a 15 quid Mahalo and only goes up to 12. 14 is clearly 2 better and you will insist on posting tabs that outshine my uke.

I love this song! Thanks for the tab. I have a soprano with 17 frets as the fingerboard goes almost right to the soundhole so I should be good to go!
Just curious, how come it’s in midi? Usually you have a uke sample/mp3.

    cbf: Good for you ;)

scissorman and B-ry: I have been thinking about doing a few easier, single note versions of some tunes. This might be one of them and I’ll make sure it doesn’t go too high.

Tamster: Time constraints. It was a rush getting two weeks of posts together before I dashed off on holiday. I didn’t have time to do an mp3.

Rob: I’m going to have to get used to referring to you as “ukukachoo”.
