O Christmas Tree (Single Note Version) (Tab)

Oh Christmas Tree (Single Note Version)(Tab)

MP3

Another melody notes plus chords Christmas tune. Must admit, I can’t stand this one.

Strumming

This bit is quite tricky. I’m using all down strums but you have to be careful how many strums you use.

F = 6 down strums
Gm = 2 down strums
C7 = 1 down strum
Gm = 1 down strum
F = 2 down strums

Next you repeat that pattern again. Then:

F = 1 strum
D7 = 2 strums
Gm = 3 strums
C7 = 3 strums
F = 3 strums

Then you do the first pattern again and you’re done.

    On Sat Dec 12, 2009 My friend Rhan Wilson has his Altared Christmas show. He has transformed all of the Christmas songs to minor keys and the spirit takes on a whole new feel. The celebration is taking place at the Rio Theater in Santa Cruz, California the birthplace of one of the most enigmatic and friendly uke clubs in the world. There’s actually an album of these songs available. Somehow I think that this would appeal to you Al, I mean, the songs in minor keys. Think of how Santa Claus is coming to town takes on a different feeling. I have been enjoying some of Crazy Dawg’s tab arrangements and he has a good one for O’ Tannenbaum.

    Ron: They’re both excellent. One or both will be in my Xmas UkeTube.

    Jeff: I’ll have to have a go at it.

    Of course substitutuing the words from ‘the Red Flag’ cheers it up a bit.

    Mike Woodhouse is correct. And the Red Flag can be sung by the whole family, all year round.

    Thanks Jack. I think I’ll get the phrase,”Mike Woodhouse is correct.” printed out and framed!

    Thank you, Thank you, thank you, I have been looking for this in chords for a while. While not my fave Xmas song by a LONG shot, it is also sung as “Vespers” by Scouts and Guides in many countries around the world. Thanks, I will be playing this at the next International Camp I go to.

    Les: Thanks! Have fun at the Camp.
