   Actually – SUPA has spun off two in the Tacoma Area – one on 6th Avenue which meets once a month (WASSUP)the last Tuesday of the month. Now there is an additional group in Lakewood (30-40 people) that meets every Monday night and is actually called – Monday Ukulele ‘Ohana, facilitated by Ray Alonzo Sr. They meet from 5:30 – 6:30 for beginners (free) and a song circle/ kanikapila from 6:30 p.m. on. He also teaches private and semi-private lessons. They meet at the Queens’ Closet at 9614 40th Ave SW in Lakewood where they carry various brands of ukulele (Kanilea, Nalu and Kamoa at this time) and accessories including Aquila and Worth Strings, etc. Info on http://www.facebook.com/Mondaynightukulele and http://www.facebook.com/hoalohaikaukulele or at 253 475-9576.     Great idea Al – good work to the Uke Hunt team. Could I just point out an error though. The Cleveland Ukulele Fraternity is actually in the UK, in the area formerly known as Cleveland – now North Yorkshire. We meet at Skelton-in-Cleveland, every 2nd Wednesday of the month.     I’m a member of PUKA, Puna ‘Ukulele Kanikapila Association. Free classes and a following sing along using the books from the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz happen here in Leilani at the Community Center every other Saturday. The classes are really great, and the teacher, Andy Andrews, is 1 of the people who formed the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz. They published 3 volumes, a huge collection of songs and related info. I couldnt recommend it more highly- it is so much fun playing an ukulele with them. I would think having both on this list a great idea. Aloha from Hawaii
