Also this week, a new song in the UOGB repertoire, a Neutral Milk Hotel ukulele cover band, Taimane in her back yard (she’s so great when she’s not trying so hard) and plenty more.

Neutral Uke Hotel – Communist Daughter

Eddie Vedder – Oh CoCo

Taimane Gardner – Girl from Ipanema

Ukulelezaza and Krouk – Home

really enjoyed the Billy Corgan Song
and it didn’t take much to know i was gonna dig Bossarocker’s tune…

but what uke player has anything on Ian?…Jeez…so gosh darn smooth….

Blimey, I didn’t expect that, thanks for the feature Al! And thanks for the kind words, Todd.

Ukulelezaza and Krouk – on Home Wonderful. Hey what ever happened to the rating system on YT. Why have they gone to the thumbs up or thumbs down. THIS on needs the 5 stars as well as all the other entries.

Billy Corgan confuses me greatly, a while ago he did a wrestling promo doing a spoken word version of bullet with butterfly wings and now he’s playing ukulele? Weird guy. Good choices this week.

christ! look at the size of that uke!

it should be in a ukulele mariachi band!

    Hmmm.. now THERES AN IDEA!

Cheers for inclusion Al, and cheers for the fabulous compiment Todd – really appreciate it!

I had one of those big German pear-shaped baritones – for about a week (on JCMcGee’s assurance they were okay). I’m amazed that one sounds so good: the one I had was crap.

Taimane is another to have broken through my: ‘Pretty ladies with ukes’ prejudice too. Sleaford’s vid will give me nightmares (apart from the hula grrrl).

But for me this week, it has to be Smellriddell’s clawhammer shredding and comfy looking chair.

    I x

    Another fine selection.

I do Ain’t Misbehavin’ all the time but Ian’s version is killer. I want to have his children. Failing that, how about you adopt me, Ian? All I require is whiskey and uke lessons.

After a semi-thorough search I can’t come up with the chords to Dr. Jazz. Anyone from Sleaford willing to email me their cheatsheet? Pretty please? Not only is that a great tune, but the video, and the arrangement/performance on same, is superior.

Lastly, I’m down with Jazzukes on this one… whatever convinced YouTube that the Facebook like/dislike meme was better than a star rating system?

You’re more than welcome to have my children, Hobbit! Though if you met them, I doubt you’d want the little shits!

todd: Agreed. I’m going to have to work out the intro to Ain’t Misbehavin’.

Bossa: Thanks very much for your contribution.

Mark and Hobbit: I think they changed it because most votes were either 5 starts or 1 star. I know I rarely voted with anything other than those two.

Jimmy: I think it’s always worth following what Billy Corgan is doing. Even it is has been quite a while since he made a great record.

zym: Hmmm, that is a good idea.

Ian: I think it must be Bossa’s playing that makes it sound good. Not at all tempted to get one myself.
