Martina Topley Bird, WIUO: UkeTube

Videos this week include the Wellingtons with Bret taking the lead on a Randy Newman song (subscribe to their new channel), a snippet Martina ‘used to sing with Tricky’ Topley-Bird and her ukulele playing Ninja (see him more clearly here) and Ukulollo being hilarious.

But my faves this week are a couple of originals from 4DJB25 and Myriam Parent.

4DJB25 – Esmerelda

Myriam Parent – Survivors

Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra – Short People

Ukulollo – Knight Rider

Milly Blue – The Wino’s Waltz

Martina Topley Bird – Baby Blue

Whole Earth Nuclear Ukulele Orchestra – Russian Lullaby

Thanks Jeff.

Look at the Fields – Miracles

The Bobby McGee’s – The Door

Mark Occhionero – Up Jumped Spring

4DJB25 is pretty incredible always, Ukulollo made me laugh long after the video was over and Miracles is an incredible song (made me believe in God) a good cover as well.
WUO’s Short People is one of the greatest things recorded of all time, so good they shouldn’t have aired it.

WS- thanks for including my “Up Jumped Spring” in this weeks UkeTube vids however it is not worthy to be included with the likes of of 4DJB25 “Esmerelda” and Myriam Parent “Survivors”.

and there is not enough to say about Ukulollo, always consistent and original even in covers, and the ending just cracked me up.

but my pick is Milly Blue “The Wino’s Waltz”

thank you for posting and keeping me coming back.

Lots of great fun this week.

I loved the bouncy dancers at the end of the WIUO video! And Knight Rider on uke is brilliant!

And whoever that Myriam Parent is, she is obviously a rising star and a gifted songwriter! (No. I don’t know her in real life, nor did I encourage her to make the video. I don’t know what you are talking about – shut up!)

Herman: I love her voice too. I hope she does more videos soon.

alec: Electric fairies. The only possible explanation.

Jimmy: Very enthusiastic this week! Good to see.

    drywell: You’re welcome.

PaulC: I think you should not encourage to do a lot more videos.

    Phredd: Glad you enjoyed.

Great selection! The Bobby McGees and the Wellington Orchestra are really great – particularly that Randy Newman song I don’t remember listening… Really Funny!

    Thank you, Woodshed!

Marcelo: I think there are quite a few Randy Newman songs that could be done on the ukulele to great advantage.
