Imua Garza, David Wax Museum: UkeTube

YouTube must be having some serious problems lately. I’ve seen all sorts of loading errors, my latest video took hours to publish and all my subscriptions disappeared. So my apologies if I’ve missed anything earth-shattering.

Nevertheless, there’s menagerie of videos this week including songs about narwhals and unicorns, blackbirds and dik-diks.

One that isn’t in today’s selection but has some curiosity value is Marina and the Diamonds singing the praises of porn on the ukulele. It’s not safe for work. Neither is the dik-dik song really but you probably figured that out.

    I haven’t checked out JenerallyxSpeaking’s channel yet, but I hope she has skillions of subscribers because she’s funny! I liked it.

    The Pete Kennedy vid confused me at first. It was enjoyable, despite the fact that he’s simply treating the uke like a little guitar.

    Always happy to listen to Hello Jodi.

    The David Wax Museum rocked. Makes me want to get together with my friend (and fellow busker) T-Bone and have him break out his mando.

    Jennifer Teeter is another one who should have skillions of subscribers.

    I’d for sure go out and see Rachel Pearl (and her friends) if they ever come through Seattle.

    Imua Garza not only shredded like a monster but obviously also has a sense of humor. And I wish I had such a lovely mike stand.

    But Matt Griffo takes the prize. Cute song and great vid.

    Rob: Not entirely sure what’s going on. But she’s either tuned down half a step or using a capo.

    I’d go capo first fret Eb and Gm

    Then Fm Bb
