Some stiff competition for my affections this week: Les Reitfors concert, Kumalae Style 5, 1928 tenor Gibson, Jose Do Espirito ukulele.

But for this week, it’s not a ukulele I want. It’s this strange, jumbo tenor guitar thing.

Well, my uke affections for the week belong to the one and only new Flea Market Music Firefly banjo uke. This beauty can be seen to great
effect and admired (but, it’s mine) in the YT review –

Forgot to mention to you, Al, that Fender
have a new soprano coming out along with the
    concert.

For once I agree with Ron. Got my Firefly, and it’s terrific. Everything I wanted it to be…a full fledged BU in a low maintenance, light weight, durable, and fun “fluke” style. Plus it has a little engraving of a firefly engraved in the wood on the back that made me “squee”. Love it! Now I just have to learn to do it justice. Oh, and I also want this:

Oops, didn’t see that the whole back had been replaced on that tiki. Seems that the definition of “mint” has been altered somewhat these days.

    Thanks for mentioning my website.

However, Ukecarlton was too much of a mouthful. I’ve now changed it to –

    Thanks again.

Ron: Thanks. Interesting to see Fender moving into the smaller sizes.

pepamahina: Glad you’re enjoying your new uke.

todd: Me too. No idea where I’d keep it though.

    Carlton: Thanks for the correction.
