Ukulele Bartt and James Hill, Honey Month, Misty Miller: UkeTube

Some outstanding videos posted while I was away including Bartt and James covering Led Zep, Misty Miller finally winning my wholehearted support by doing a song to benefit the Woodland Trust, Matt Kresling on the rapture (which will mean only wicked heathen sinners are reading this post – just like every other week) and new (to me) bands The Haunted Windchimes and The Honey Month.

Ukulele Bartt and James Hill – Kashmir

Matt Kresling – Ashes

Misty Miller – Tiptoe Through the Bluebells

The Love Leighs – The Texas Woman Song

Thanks to Ron Hale.

tUnE-yArDs – You Yes You

If you don’t give a tuppenny-shove how the album got its title, start it, pause it, let it load, zip to 1:45.

The Honey Month – The Owl

The Haunted Windchimes – Honey Moonshine

Finding Jupiter – Till the World Ends

Lelia Broussard – Satellite

Thanks Stephanie

bsef77 – Cannonball Rag

Mark Occhionero – The Nearness of You

Jen Miller and Friend – Falling Slowly

A lot of good ones this week and many of my favorite folks but Matt Kresling and Lelia Broussard tie for the (perfectly worthless) Howlin’ Hobbit Fave List(tm) award.

The Haunted Windchimes and The Honey Month are two real good finds. I haven’t heard of them either so thanks a lot.

A good crop. tUnE-YaRdS: increasingly interesting; Matt Kresling: I like the social commentary of his songs; Ukulele Bart and James Hill: exemplary technique and clever interpretation; The Love Leighs: an enjoyable listen as was the emotive Jen Miller and Friend.

Cheers Al – certainly worth the wait after your blog break.

Hobbit: I’d certainly take that award over a Grammy.

    Herman: Glad you enjoyed.

Captain: New to me too. Enjoyed them both.

Shobs: Thanks! Good to be back.

Matt Kresling a favourite for me, although the Haunted windchimes are quite lovely too.

About the video: Ukulele solo: Let It Be Me by WS64….
How does he get that sound with that mini uke?
    That sound’s nice.

foinnse: I really enjoy Matt’s stuff.

    Lucille: I have a no-Beatles rule, I’m afraid.

Nicholas: Loved your latest video. Despite the lack of ukes!

Thanks a lot, Al! Next week’s vid will feature guitarleles and ukuleles to make up for that. And I totally love YOUR latest video even though you should have worn an Aloha shirt and a fake moustache!

Nicholas: Look forward to hearing it. And thanks.
