   The Vespers have a good tune and nice harmonies but this week I really enjoy the weired pictures of vadoinmessico. And Walter Sickert is growing on me; where can I get the skeleton gloves for my uke?

   Vadoinmessico are really great. I recommend checking out their song “In Spain”, one of my favorites from last year’s SXSW.

   @The Captain — my two favorite Army of Broken Toys tunes are any version of “Friend in Goddamn” and the great cover they did of the Ghost Busters theme at the after party for Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley’s Evelyn Evelyn show.

   lots of goodies this week, Woodshed, but Ian takes the cake (again). BTW… today is his birthday. I think he must be about 150 or so because surely you can’t get that good in one normal lifetime.

   Thanks for showing Uncle Kimo on that sweet bari. Not quite enough o’s in smooth to engulf his style. It’s worth a trip to Molokai just to study at his feet for a week in December.

   Ian works those four little stings so well. I think I can play until I see someone like Ian own a tune so completely.

   I love the Vespers song. But they look like they´d be 11 and 14 or something like that :D
   Must say, I don´t really like the song of Vadoinmessico…. But the video is really really great

   The thing i like most about Ian’s vids (well, other than his insane technique) is the vibe he creates while ukeing in that strange little room–like he’s trying to steal a quick smoke before his supervisor comes in.

   Cheers for the feature and for the lovely comments! It was my birthday yesterday, so that made it particularly nice. I was serenaded with a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ by, among others, James Hill, Ukulollo, Ukulele Bartt and Wayne Federman. Surreal, but unforgettable. They did it in a minor key. And yes, that small room is where I sneak off for a quick smoke, and my eyes were peeled at the window, watching for the ‘supervisor’ (or ‘wife’). Thanks again!

    That Vespers song is the most insanely catchy thing I’ve heard all week. They should have a licence for that stuff. It’s dangerous.

    The Peter De Rose and May Singhy Breen record / video is mine. (No idea who this Ron Hale person is….) I’m glad to see someone blogged about it! I have other Uke related videos as well, mostly by Cliff “Ukulele Ike” Edwards. I also play the Uke and Tenor Guitar myself. Fun little instruments!
