I’ve really been enjoying Sophie’s covers, too. And I can’t believe I never noticed the uke in the Connie Francis song. I’m obviously not very observant!

Taimane Gardner’s stuff was very interesting this week, very enjoyable.
I also enjoyed Tyrone and Ana Paula Gomes has a great voice.
Also loving Sophie Madelines cover series, theres some really good ones in the mix and still 15(?) days to go!
    Cheers -F

    Hello,

I’ve just heard Sophie Madeleine sing with her Uke the song If I had you and I LOVE IT and I would like to play it on my Uke, too.

Does anyone have the chords to that song?

    Thank-you so much.
    Linda

Andi: Don’t be hard on yourself. I hadn’t even heard the song until Scotty pointed it out.

    Foinnse: Glad you enjoyed it.

Linday: There are chords for it here (PDF link) although it’s different from Sophie’s version.

Sophie Madeleine has such a great voice.

I wish I could get someone to sing to me like that at bedtime right before I go to sleep. I think it would make for nice dreams.

Surprised that no one has mentioned Ivo Mozart yet. That’s a high quality jam he’s got there.

I’ll admit though that he might be getting bonus points for the girl, (my God, she is pretty) though the way it’s shot is also quite good.

Now I want to move to Brazil.

Ms Madeline is always a treat.

Ivo Mozart has the fat tone on his harmonica. very yummy. great song too, even though I don’t speak nor understand the language.

I do like the direction Ms Gardner’s been going with her show. it is show business, after all. nice little dark cabaret feel to the last couple videos I’ve seen from her.

I actually didn’t expect ukulele in the Connie Francis vid. I just figured you included her because… duh!… Connie Francis! and screw whether it had uke or not, it was a good tune. but it was a pleasant surprise to hear the little guy strumming the rhythm.

this week’s Howlin’ Hobbit Hip Clip Award(tm) is a tie between the fabulous waltz from Winin’ Boys and the swingin’ extended fart joke from Tyrone.

the latter ties with “The Sophisticated Song” from Hugh Laurie for “Best Ridiculous Use of the Jazz Idiom.”

    clever statuettes forthcoming.

    Dan: That would be nice.

Lonely Bear: Yeah, seems like a great scene developing in Brazil.

Hobbit: Interesting to hear uke and harmonica together – doesn’t happen often. Amazon has paired up Ukulele for Dummies with Harmonica for Dummies and I am completely baffled as to why.

uke and harmonica together doesn’t happen very often? have you listened to my EPs?

I know you bought at least one of them, bless your heart, maybe both. my memory is fading.

(I don’t have Alzheimer’s, but I have some of them.)
