Cognitive psychologist recommends ukulele playing: “If I had to do it over again, I might start with a ukelele, which has a conceptually simpler organization.” I’m not sure I agree with that though.

This is a really fun Friday links, and a nice surprise since I figured you’d be on an every other week pattern now. We ignore the evil that is Valentine’s Day in my family but even so I’d be handing out kisses for that ukulele heart candy box for sure. Magical ukulele really made me laugh, and you may definitely refer to me as Pretty Bones Washington from now. The current thinking on T-Rex is that it was mostly a giant scavenger rather than an active hunting predator, and the forelegs dwindled from lack of needing to grapple with prey, but I like this explanation much better.

Thanks for the links. For anyone who’s going to learn Sweet Child, there’s a much nicer (if harder) campanella version by Wodehouse on Ukehunt somewhere.

That subway girl is Jessica Latshaw. I know you’re not keen on her, Al. You know I am. One of the rare times we see things differently.

Now, readers who might want to get a better look and listen to her might try the YT video –

pepamahina: I am on an every other week thing. But I did an extra one at the end of the break to catch up.

alec: Thanks. Yeah, but mine is just the intro.

Ron: We disagree on something? I’m shocked.
