THANK YOU for including my “Get a uke, build a village” post.

And I’m sorry about that video. Well, maybe not TOO sorry, it WAS really fun.

    Donated!

Pam: You’re very welcome. I expect the prize to go to one of my peeps again this time.

    Jodi: Good luck!

True enough a personal visit and serenade from Tricity would make me a happy chappie, but alas, I’m afraid the budget isn’t up to such a treat, Al. Even if I asked Jeff to go in with me. Have to settle for the lipstick kiss on the CD, I guess.

Putting a pair of Makala dolphins and a Kala kiwi
on the cover of the uke calendar is a very nice touch. Much better than the obvious move of putting something akin to a 5K on the front.
Were I a uke-nerd I might pick one up, too.

load of old black and white pictures of ukers from the 20’s 40’s would have got me logging in to paypal

Ron: You’re right, I think it was a good touch with the calendar.

krabbers: It’s been so long since I’ve had any use for a calendar I don’t think I’d buy one whatever was on it.

  7. krabbers November 20th, 2010 11:49 am

i just wish i had enough things to do to need a calender

  8. byjimini November 20th, 2010 12:35 pm

I’ve only just been suckered in by iCal on my iPhone for all the dates that iCan’t remember, so a calendar would just go unused.

  9. Woodshed November 20th, 2010 10:09 pm

krabbers: My problem is over confidence. I think I’ll remember it but I tend not to.

byjimini: I can’t bring myself to use any app that requires typing. I find it to be too much of a faff.

  10. byjimini November 20th, 2010 10:45 pm

Aye, true, typing on the iPhone is a bit of a faff, it’s far too easy to send texts to the wrong person. I once sent “hi sexy, I miss you, and I can’t wait to hold you” to my mum; imagine if I’d have sent that to the wrong person.

    byjimini: LOL!

Thanks for including me in the Friday links! Did you know you could save 50% off the cost of my new CD if you’re a member of the Ukulele Underground or Ukulele Cosmos? There are posts there telling you how.

  13. Woodshed November 23rd, 2010 10:48 pm

Hal: I’m not sure where I stand. I’m a member of both but welcome at neither. Already bought the record anyways.
