When I asked about instrumental versions of songs, the message was they’re fine but could I do some easier ones. Your wish is my command (unless it’s a stupid wish) so here’s a very straightforward arrangement of Pua Lililehua. There’s no fancy picking – it’s all done with the thumb – and you don’t move higher than the 4th fret.
If you’re looking for a more interesting arrangement, check out John King’s version.

Somehow you really read my mind on this one. I was just in a folk music store searching in vain for hawaiian tunes for ukulele in this sort of format…not super hard picking, but enough to make the song much more interesting…beyond just chords. I would love to see more of this kind of thing for all types of music, but Hawaiian ones in particular. This was perfect, thank you!

I do love a nice simple achievable arrangement.
I’ve got that Mark Kailana Nelson Fingerstyle Solos book and this reminds of that kind of stuff. My fav to play and listen to from it is E Ku’u Morning Dew by Eddie Kamae. I should make a video of it.

i have to say i really like the instrumentals but i wouldn’t say the difficulty has been too unreasonable, the tricky arrangements if anything add to the overall impression in my opinion.
