Thanks for the very tasteful work,
Very nice way to honor the people of Japan. My heart goes out to them.
Bless your sweet heart, Al, for this tender tribute
Heartbreaking.
Thanks for posting the tabs for this.
It’s a very beautiful song.
Cheers
you have made my day with this post. i have friends in japan, and have gone there twice now, to volunteer at animal shelters, where animals rescued from the fukushima zone are housed. the people were not allowed to bring their pets when they evacuated, so many pets are still abandoned in the zone, even now. it’s tragic. i will go back again next year, and bring my ukulele to play this song. it makes me cry, but that’s okay. arigatou…
rose: Thanks very much.
Beautiful tune and thank u for tab Talking of animals, I found my cat today, electrocuted in a substation. She went missing 10 days ago. Used to sit and watch/listen whenever I played m uke. Ill think of her whenever I strum this, unlucky Lady Grey.
Mike: Thanks!
Thank you for this graceful tribute, Al, and for the links. I have given my offering to the American Red Cross. There will be no joy in the cherry blossoms this year. I can’t clear my mind’s eye of two particular images from Japan. One, of a mother reunited with her little daughter and how she cries and clutches her in relief, and the second, of parents peering into the twisted vehicle where their daughter’s body lay. I will play this in honor of them both.
