Leftover Cuties, Lemoskine: UkeTube

So much good stuff this week. I had to cut out some stuff I really like. Including the new Amanda Palmer video. Those that did make it include some summery, laid-back tunes from Leftover Cuties, Lemoskine and Nicholas Abersold along with Pops Bayless, Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer and plenty more.

Leftover Cuties – Places To Go

Lemoskine – Cabeça de Disco

Nicholas Abersold – How Low?

Sanfordandsong – Surprise Hotel

Pops Bayless – Bijou

krabbers – by your side

Fronz Arp – Somebody That I Used To Know

Blue Dean Carcione – I Wanna Be In The Cavalry

UkuleleCow – It Changed the Words

Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer – All Hail The Chap

Mallu Magalhães – You Ain’t Gonna Loose Me

That’s one hell of a moustache Mr.B has. I love it.

Rebekah: I bet he puts a serious amount of work into it.

Pops Bayless and the letover cuties would be my picks for this week, really very good.

    Cheers -F

Nice to see two great bands (lemoskine and leftover cuties) where the uke isn’t lost in the mix. Beautiful song by Krabbers. And seeing that Blue Dean has only been posting vids since April, i’d say he’s well on his way to being the great ukulele find of 2011…

Loved this week’s edition, Al! Excellent video by Blue Dean Carcione, and Fonz Arp is a great find too! And thanks so much for featuring my little vid, despite the lack of ukes this time.

the more I see of Nicholas Abersold the more I wonder why he’s not freakishly famous and touring the damn world to well-deserved acclaim. great tunes, presentation and videos.

Lemoskine is very fine. (hope that’s how it’s pronounced. otherwise my rhyme all is fupped duck.)

Sanfordandsong is right up there with Brian Hefferan on the list of people that should be talked about frequently on the assorted ukulele boards. Why aren’t they?

Pops Bayless has long been one of my foremost ukulele heroes. he doesn’t disappoint on this video either.

Krabbers original tunes often go on my “wish I’d written that” list.

Fronz Arp’s vid is a lovely, laid-back version of the ol’ one-man-band schtick, performed to perfection. (is this his first appearance here or have I just somehow missed him?)

Mr. B sets the chap-hop standard. all others so far have simply been pretenders to the throne.

last, but certainly not least, Leftover Cuties win the coveted (though hitherto unknown), “Howlin’ Hobbit Jaysus Do I Ever Wanna Party With Those Kids” award.

hey, Cuties! you ever get to Seattle I know a band that would love to open for you.

I think UkuleleCow has a good tune and some nice playing going on. I like the basement and the washing machine(?)!

    Foinnse: Glad you like.

sanford: I feel like I should have a Blue Dean catch up week – he put out so much good stuff before I found him.

Nicholas: Yeah, I’ve given myself permission to do that. I watched the video and liked it so much I decided it should be in.

Hobbit: You and the Cuties would be an excellent line-up. Hope it happens.

Captain: I did feel a bit sorry for her when they guy stumbled straight through her video. She’s since done a retake of it somewhere more private.

You weren’t kidding when you said there was a lot of good stuff for this week. Pops Bayless is new to me and pick of the bunch, but I was diggin’ it all. I love me some Krabbers. Sanfordandsong got my butt moving (not the same way coffee gets your butt to move, the other way.)

    Krabbers is perfection :)

Aimee: I don’t know what to say to that!
