Givers, Arborea: UkeTube

I’m looking forward to getting my hands on Givers’ new album. Two videos from them including the final song from their NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Also up: Arborea, Paula Fuga, The Gregory Brothers (aka Schmoyoho/Auto-Tune the News/Songify This) at Vidcon and more.

Ukulollo – The Beat of the Strum

Givers – In My Eyes

Arborea – Careless Love

Paula Fuga & Mike Love – Misery’s End

Fronz Arp – Vagina Removal (the Latest Fashion)

Get this track free on his website because iTunes can’t handle the word ‘vagina’ (they seem to have no problem with twats).

Herman Vandercauter – Tarantella Guiseppe

Bella Hemming – Little Ghost

Givers – Atlantic

The Gregory Brothers – My Home’s Across Smokey Mountain

Double Rainbow starts at 6:45 if that’s more you bag.

I am loving the givers! What a great song… and the bass player’s face is amazing :)

I’m really enjoying the Givers. The girl who plays the uke and sings is great particularly. I really like the tone of her voice and its got a slightly rough edge to it which is really nice. She’s also charmingly enthusiastic as are the rest of the band!!

    Cheers -F

Amen to that, Aimee, it looks like he’s having a religious experience. I also think Herman Vandercauter deserves a little praise this week. Amazing!

This week I enjoyed Arborea a lot. I think the ukulele works well with the slide guitar. And I agree that Bella Hemming’s tune is so catchy. I found myself humming it after the first listen.

    Rebekah: Me too!

Aimee and jackalope: I love that guy! He makes me fell much better about my own facial gurnings.

    Foinnse: She’s great.

Herman: Thanks very much for your contribution.

Ron: Thanks for the links. The other one in the Allo Darlin set is my favourite.

Sean: Glad to hear it. It seems to be very slow in arriving over here.

Captain: Bella definitely has a way with a tune.

pretty much all good this week. not even going to try to pick an award winner.

one thing though, not only do I love Ukulollo’s work, but I’d really love to have him put together one of my band’s videos. I have nowhere near his video chops.

    L.bo: Glad you liked.

    Lincoln: You’re welcome!

Hobbit: I really need to start developing my video chops. So far I’ve been getting by on my handsomeness.
