Wilfried Welti, Where Are All The Buffalo?: UkeTube

I haven’t been paying as much attention as usual so this week’s video roundup is a bit shorter than usual. If you’ve seen any videos I should know about leave them in the comments.

But among the videos I did find is one by the ever excellent Wilfried Welti. He’s just released three new e-books from Wilfried Welti. More on those when I’ve had the chance to check them out.

If you’re just watching the playlist, don’t miss Where Are All The Buffalo? on Vimeo.

NOTE: I usually can’t stand Formby parody covers of modern songs but this one is pretty great.

Fans of UOGB should enjoy this new lighthearted video –

Berlin Metal TV and The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

Maybe they’ll work up the nerve to dare an original tune in public and post the video, Al.
Something those fake ukulele orchestra upstarts did recently.

Which could change the whole ukulele orchestra (humor division) game. Which is suffering from a massive case of tired blood. Some would claim a terminal case of tired blood. I would so claim and am doing so here and now.

New blood is needed and should be encouraged. Not rebuffed by the ‘old boys network’ ukulele establishment (itself in need of a transfusion) in favor of fossils who haven’t changed in over two decades and are unlikely to change over the course of the next two decades. Or twenty for that matter.

In fact, stale acts abound throughout the uke world. Coasting on past laurels is the way of the ukulele, it seems.

“Formby in the Club” has to have been the most fun since “Middle Age Guy With a Ukulele”.
You always find such fun videos.
