Great Stuff Al, How do you find the time to do stuff like Eat & Sleep? :D

If you have Windows Vista there is a handy metronome you can stick on the sidebar

    Hey Al,
Thought you might like to know if you haven’t already found out–Under the heading APTuner your paragraph sentence is unfinished.

No need to post this. It’s FYI only.

Cheers and thank you for Ukulele Hunt.

zym: I didn’t realise that. I got rid of the sidebar as quickly as I could.

Joseph: Thanks. I didn’t know about that. Should be fixed now.

to be fair, the side bar IS rubbish. I know about the metrodome because the person i bought my current PC from had one on there

This is brilliant. Thanks Al, I will share widely.

zym: To be fair, Vista is pretty rubbish all round.

David: Thanks very much! Before you do, there was an issue with some of the links in the early. There’s a new, fixed version up now.

Alistair – Brilliant, again! Thought I was past the beginner phase but I still learned things from this little eBook!

PS – I thought Vista was rubbish too until I bought a computer built for it with 2GB of ram – now I wouldn’t go back. Said the same crappy things about XP years ago….

Mahalo a nui loa for this!!! I purchased my very first ‘ukulele last month and am very, VERY excited to start learning some things. This beginner’s guide will be invaluable, I’m sure. :o)

Donnie: I’ve heard rumors that Microsoft are ditching Vista and starting over again.

Nohealani: Hope you find it useful.

Man could I have used this last year! I can still use it, though. Thanks for all the great links. It’s getting saved to my flash drive as soon as I can find it…

Emily: Sorry I’m a year late with it! I really should have thought of it last year. I didn’t connect the idea that people would be getting ukuleles with the fact they’d turn up here on Christmas Day looking for info.

    What a useful site !
Can you help with my quest ?
I am looking to buy (in the UK) a decent Concert Uke. Price rangs £75 to £120.

I have had a look at what’s on the UK web (Mahalo to Kala) ….. I am intrigued by the “Fluke”. What would you suggest ??

  13. Woodshed January 2nd, 2009 5:19 pm

parrskool: I can highly recommend the Ashbury Concert Koa (although it’s slightly above your price range). It’s my favourite general use ukulele. Easy to play, sounds good, well put together.

I have a Fluke as well, but I much prefer the Ashbury.

I have this book for Ukulele that says to tune it to BF#DA. Is it just because it’s old?

  19. Gordon December 25th, 2010 7:42 am

This is what I have been looking for ever since i saw Ukulele Ike.
George Harrison’s fave instrument? I see the millions of things that Can be done, and the scores of tunes to play with one or two variations, amazing!
Thanks So Much and Merry Christmas, as we said when I was a kid. This is Nice, very Nice!

    Regards,
    Gordon
