Aerosmith – Walk This Way

MP3

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to include Walk This Way. It’s one of the classics.

It is one of the trickier ones to play in this batch. You have to give the E string a fair old pluck to keep it ringing through the hammer-ons.

Made in the garage, played in the garage. Relentless, inevitable, merciless…The riff that pounds an unforgiving swath through the classic, The Blackout of Gretely, by Gonn (The Loudest Band in Town). If you’re not familiar with it, give a listen on YouTube, but be careful with the volume. If you are familiar with it, the hearing loss sets in during your late 50s (trust me, I know).

couldn’t you use a slide instead of hammer on’s? just sayin, it sounds pretty cool otherwise! and nice work!

Nick: I prefer hammer-ons. They sound more defined.
