Matt and Kim – Daylight (Tab)

daylight ukulele tab

I do worry a great deal about keyboards coming into fashion again. If we tolerate this, it’s only a matter of time before we’re wearing shoulder pads, watching Dallas and having competitions to see who can spunk the most money up the wall.

Having said that, Daylight by Matt and Kim is a damn fine song.

Like Kids by MGMT, I’m playing the E and A strings with half-up strums.

Oh no, not the shoulder pads again. Though they would look great in combination with the “bump it”.

Dallas was a mighty fine show.

But I agree with you about the keyboards.

Excellent! I was just about to ask if you might be able to tab this one out and here it is.

    Thanks for being completely awesome!

    Hey Woodshed,
you´ve got the mgmt link spelled wrong. it looks for the page at the 21st when it should be the 22nd,for mgmt-kids-tab…
    Just to let you know.

BTW what chords would you use around bizzs “just a friend” riff?

What’s the matter with Keyboards? They’re cool… I hope they don’t lead us to shoulder pads, but they can sound good.

    Best

    Lonna: Dallas was bloody awful!

    Jeff: You’re welome.

Markus: Thanks for letting me know. I’ve got it fixed.

    For Just A Friend, try C – F – Dm – F – G.

Marcelo: I’d say more bad music has been made on keyboards than any other instrument.

Oi! Matt & Kim are super cute! No making fun of the keyboard! I saw them live last summer…they were so much fun. I dare say the best show I’ve been to in years…keyboard or not.

Nice tab! I like to play the chords for this (D A F#min E) and play the melody on the first string with my pinky.

is there/can you make a simpler tab for this song? You know, with single strings. This one is just impossible for me hehe. I can work up from that one.

Still awesome tab. I was waiting for this song!

vatsal: Try playing just the highest pitched note. In the first bar you might want to replace the G string, 2nd fret with the A string open.

thanks, that is a lot more manageable. Still hard but I can start to recognize the song now.

I guess you are unaware but sadly shoulder pads are back in style.. They are selling things with shoulder pads everywhere. Especially weird things like jumpsuits. I blame Gossip Girl.

Maya: Thanks for setting me straight on the fashion front.

Hey, do you think you can put this up with a version with chords? I personally prefer chords, and I just adore this song!

Thanks a lot for this – my 3 year old daughter loves Matt and Kim, and this tune particularly. I think she’s been quite interested in the progress of my playing over the last couple of weeks from apparently random noises to something that made her say, somewhat grudgingly “That sounds a bit like Matt and Kim”.

Could you please post the chords for this? I can’t read tabs but I really want to play this! :)

What does spunk money up the wall mean?

  17. Woodshed June 11th, 2012 7:59 am

John: It means to dispose of one’s wealth in a profligate manner.

  18. John July 2nd, 2012 8:07 pm

And what does profligate mean? I’m just kidding, thanks.
