Jamie T – Spider’s Web (Tab)

I regard myself as being pretty near unshockable when it comes to lyrics but I did have a ‘Can he say that?’ moment in this song (I won’t spoil it if you haven’t heard it yet).

I wasn’t expecting ukulele riffery from Jamie T but this is a damn fine bit of work. And quite tricky to work out – not sure how much use the G string is getting.

Verse

The tab is in D-tuning (aDF#B) or you could put a capo on the second fret.

spiders web ukulele tab

Chorus
jamie t ukulele tab

Not Twiddly Bits

In the, “Hustle and the bustle…” section the chords are:

Em G D

Al, I guess we’ll be left wondering what the lyrics were :
“This video has been removed due to terms of use violation”

…I’m completely shock proof after “So what” from Anti nowhere league entered my consciousness many years ago…I’ve been loving Jamie T for a while now…He’s certainly a talented lad…Good choice Al…

Nick B-C: I think this version of “so what” is more shocking

…HA HA HA…love it…Yep that is way beyond shocking…That’s just plain wrong…I think I may need to wash out my eyes and ears after that abomination…i think the psychological damage will be permenant…

Are you talking about the Obama line Al? Grated with me when I first heard the song, but it’s meant to be a joke at the expense of Americans who made the comparison, hense the accent.

Another great tab, pretty tricky getting the rhythm right though!

You mention that the g doesn’t get used much but I find it easier to throw one in at the end of the verse riff instead of 3 on the E string and bars 8 and 9 you can use just E and g unless I’ve got something completely wrong

Hey I don’t have a ukelele but a mandolin i’m not the most theoretical player, so does anyone think this tab can be converted to a mandolin atall? (plus I’m severly laZy hence why I’m asking you guys)

I’m pretty sure the riff is actually played two frets higher, sounds better to me but i dunno you are the master :P

this may sound noobish but do you get capos for uke cause if you put one on second it would sound perfect

harry: You’re right. I thought I’d put D-tuning in the post, but obviously not. Fixed it now.

Yes, you can get ukulele capos. But mandolin capos work on most ukes too and they tend to be better quality.

How do you play em, g and d with a capo on the second fret? Great tab though.

  12. Woodshed June 9th, 2010 11:18 am

stevie g: The same shapes as Dm, F and C without the capo.

I kinda thought this didnt sound right so i took the time to try and find something a little closer to the real thing, im not entirely sure if its correct or not but your thoughts would be apreciated.
