Zee Avi – No Christmas (Chords)

Zee Avi – No Christmas (Chords)

No ukulele on this one but I had to post it anyway. Partly because I like it and partly because it shares its chords with one of my favourite Christmas songs of all time: Hello Saferide’s iPod Xmas.

Suggested Strumming

The bits of bass picking she uses in this song don’t work too well on the uke, so here’s a strumming pattern you can use:

d u d –

For each chord in the verse.

In the middle:

d u d u

For each chord.

    Oooh I like these :D
I’m a big fan of biter Christmas songs, help to tone down the sickly sweet music that I have to put up with at work…

This is perhaps my favourite of all: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=125546071 – David Ford: Have Yourself a Bitter Little Christmas

    Ho ho ho xxx

How sweet! Beautiful! and the song is fantastic too! I played along with my uke and love the progression. I’m learning this one. I have 8 months! Thank you very much. You made my day.

Can you put up chords for Zee Avi’s ‘Honey Bee’? it’s a wonderful song.

Dear Woodshed. I’m not to quick on the uptake. I’m working on December 2012. Some say, “sharp as a spoon, that boy”… I’ve eaten my morning milk and granola with a spoon…not too sharp. BUT! I know whats beautiful, and I’m not too concerned about the rest. So keep the Woodshed songs coming.

Littleleprechaun: The guitar picking isn’t going to translate to ukulele. Best to come up with a pattern of your own.

Littleleprechaun: No worries. I’d say just play around with things yourself and see what you like.
