Warren Zevon – Werewolves of London (Chords)
Dead simple this one. There are only three chords (D, C and G) repeated over and over again.
If you want something a bit more challenging, the piano riff fits quite nicely on the uke too.

Thanks, Ian. Glad you like it.

I know it’s a bit late… but if you can play this you can also play “One of those things” from Dexys Midnight Runners third album – the superb Don’t Stand Me Down.
Says Kevin Rowland: “Basically , I’m amazed and quite embarrassed at my arrogance when I hear this – I stole the riff totally from Warren Zevon’s ‘Werewolves of London’ after hearing it on the radio. I didn’t care that it was obvious and I ignored the fact that danger that it might be detected … he now rightfully owns a portion of the song.”
It’s also the only song I know that mentions the Sandanista and Keith Chegwin. :)
Crikey, it’s a total rip off. Thanks for that, deemikay.
Great post! I love how you added the piano riff! Thanks Woodshed. :)
Thomas: Thanks very much!
This is awesome! Suggested strumming patterns?
Katie: I’d go with:
d – d – d u d u
once each for D and C. And just d u d u etc for the G.
I feel like the lyrics should be changed to Werewolves of Hawaii
Thanks a ton for the piano riff… one of my alltime favourite songs… sortof… more like I just absolutely love the piano part… which is now a uke part. Yay!!!!
