Alice Cooper – School’s Out (Riff)

MP3

A much simpler riff this time. Most of it is just the G chord shape moved up the neck (to create C and Bb chords). I used a pick when I recorded this one but only because I still had it in my hand whilst recording some others. It does help with the triplets – which need to be played as all down strums – but it isn’t required.

Thanks!! I’ve been toying around with the Mr Nice Guy riff for a while, but School’s Out sounds much better suited to the uke…Something about Alice just says ‘I know I’m pretty ancient, but I’m still sexy as hell’. And I like that in my old men.

Zoway: Should I be ashamed that I hadn’t heard Mr Nice Guy before you mentioned it? Nice riff, though.

Can someone recommend a good Uke instruction book which, for each song, has musical notation, chord diagrams, and tablature.

I have a background in banjo and guitar and want to try Uke fingerpicking style.

    Thanks
