This week’s videos include animated cryogenics from Helen Arney, Brazilian uker Lemoskine, an original Celtic-styled tune from Ken Middleton and plenty more besides. Don’t forget, I’m posting new videos as I find them on UkeToob where you can have your say on what makes it to the final list.

Videos this week include: a duet between Cliff ‘Ukulele Ike’ Edwards and Buster Keaton (which I think I’ve posted before but is well worth another spin), two from Liverpudlian swingers The Flamin’ Mamies, Mr B and plenty more. If you’ve got the patience for it and tolerance for lofi recording there’s a new, 8 minute […]
When I announced I was switching to posting one-week-on, one-week-off the main reaction was, “yeah, but you’re still going to do the UkeTube every week, right?” No, I’m not. But I am going to do something better. When Donnie announced that he was going to bring UkeToob.com to an end I immediately begged him to […]
Videos this week include lightening picking from sanford ‘automatic inclusion’ andsong, zombie rocking from the Darling Sweets and this week’s non-uke video from Seth Lakeman and his tenor guitar.
A mixture this week of angel voiced young girls (including Bella Hemming and Agathe and Fine) and beardy bluesmen (including Manitoba Hal and Blue Dean). The Garfunkel and Oates song contains a cavalcade of cursing. You should know that by now. I’m going to stop issuing warnings.
Lots of good stuff this week but my favourite is Lisa Hannigan doing some boat-ukuleling. Also up: U to the izz-9 0 to the izz-0 take on a new cover project, hellogoodbye with Taylor York off of Paramore on uke duties, Aussie songsters The Little Stevies, power-popping electro-uke from Toy Horses and plenty more besides.
Videos this week include Zee Avi’s new one, a song from Boulder Acoustic Society’s session for 11 O’Clock Rock (watch the whole thing here, probably my favourite version of probably my favourite Burning Hell song, My Brightest Diamond, some Serbian ukulele and more.
I think I might be breaking the cardinal rule of the internet by featuring an anti-cat song this week. If you’re of a strongly pro-cat bent, skip the Uke’s Not Dead track and watch this instead (or this one which seems to be equally enjoyed by cat lovers and haters). Also this week a non-ukulele […]
Yes, Michael Jackson did a ukulele song. Who knew? Also included in this week’s round-up: Amanda Shires (only her first song is on uke but she plays violin uke-style), Savannah Smith, Sophie Madeleine (to remind you to support your favourite singed record label), Wilfried Welti and plenty more besides.
I’m looking forward to getting my hands on Givers’ new album. Two videos from them including the final song from their NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Also up: Arborea, Paula Fuga, The Gregory Brothers (aka Schmoyoho/Auto-Tune the News/Songify This) at Vidcon and more.
