Lou Barlow, Horse Feathers: UkeTube

Two videos you only need to watch half of this week. Lou Barlow (off of Sebadoh) does two songs but the most entertaining part of the second is watching the people stood out in a rain storm. In the Polytecnik video the song stops and the visuals keep going. I assume it’s a video screw up but you can never tell with these arty types.

Also this week UOGB’s Richie lays out, She and Him and the only Nirvana ukulele cover I’ve enjoyed.

Horse Feathers – Drain You

Horse Feathers / Drain You cover from Lesley Graves on Vimeo.

Polytecnik – Reset

Todd Baio – Shake ‘Em On Down

Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain – Richie’s Solo

Mike de Velta – Fuller’s Hill

Sophie Madeleine – Zorbing

Lou Barlow – Soul & Fire

beanrelly – Bloodbuzz Ohio

She & Him – Wouldn’t It Be Nice

must be in a black and white mood or something because Todd takes the prize with a strong honorable mention for Mike de Velta.

PaulC: ‘I may as well go back to bed’ is something of a motto of mine.

Don Roy: Sometimes Vimeo doesn’t play friendly with YouTube videos. It’s a pain in the arse.

SamD: I almost didn’t watch the Mike de Velta video because of the exposed chest and bling. I guess that’s a lesson against being prejudice.

HH: Yeah, I think Todd’s is probably my favourite as well. Closely followed by the guys in the strange costumes.

todd: Thanks very much for the mention on your blog and good luck with those 700 subscribers.

Mike De Velta really rocks…. God, I didn’t imagine a baryton could slide this way. Great blues.
Beautiful Sophie Madeleine also makes a great job. Nice voice for a very nice song.
Lovelly Beanrelly must try to sing blues. I believe her voice would be really great (not because she’s black but because I think that she has a very fine blues voice).

Pollux777: It’s interesting to see Mike De Velta getting a lot of love. It’s not often a lot of people connect with the instrumentals.
