Window Shopping: Pono Mango, Eleuke Butterfly, Kala Camo
April 10, 2009
The new Pono Mango ukuleles have some serious grain going on take a look at this one and this one.
BugsGear’s EleUke range gets crazier with each new uke: Butterfly Ukulele.
Whilst Applause go the other way and branch out into boring looking ukuleles.
If you’re in a belligerent mood try a WWII Victory Regal ukulele or a Kala Camouflage “with weaponary detailing.”

I’m guessing ukuleles for peace won’t be putting in any large orders for camo kalas in the near future…
That Butterfly Eleuke is absolutely gorgeous.
the butterfly eleuke reminds me of daisyrock basses which tbh are probably gonna be quite valuable in the future.
loving that world war two uke soooooo very much but i’m a uk bidder
Those Mangos remind me of the mongrels our family used to have in the plantations. Butt ugly but really gentle and well loved dogs. I wonder how the ukes voice?
I am not to sure about the bridge on the camo kala. Looks kind of um…. masculine to me.
you have a point, it does look somewhat…. anatomical
J-Hob: They are a bit frightening.
byjimini and cbf: I have to admit my first response was, “Ugh, that’s awful.”
Joseph: MGM has done a sound clip here – sounds great to me.
dnewton: I had that thought myself. But most military is decidedly phallic anyway.
i just got the lanikai sm-ce which is also made of spalted mango. there’s some info about it on their site, and i found a guy on youtube who has one (the video isn’t great but the ukulele is)
