Ian Emmerson now goes on the list (with Brian Hefferan) as one of the most under-rated of the uke masters out there. Great job, Ian!

Hobbit: I entirely agree. I love seeing him do tunes like this.

    I’m so glad you’re back
    yay Hal!
anyone in the East/central Ontario area interested… Hal’s doing a house concert at my place Wed night- I’ve got 3 tickets left!

Thanks for putting me up Al, and thanks to you and HH for saying such excellent things. You are men of taste. I really enjoy doing that sort of tune, and I expect to be doing more.

    Cheers again.

Shrek ripping it up with the limehouse blues!
    Brilliant bit of uke playing!

Though I do reckon we should paint him green and get him playing the entire Shrek soundtrack!

….isn’t there even a donkey he kicks around with???

  8. JCMcGee January 26th, 2010 8:26 am

Jeeeez…..that Cindarellaboyfriend tune is brilliant as well!

Marie: Wish I could be there. Enjoy the gig.

Ian: Look forward to hearing them.

    todd: Thanks for the link.

Craig Robertson’s done it again! Lovely song, perfectly played!

Hey Craig, when are you and your ukulele noir ensemble gonna’ come to europe and play a few gigs?

  11. Aimee February 13th, 2010 5:22 pm

Really liked Ian Emmerson (and his T shirt!) although his ukulele looks like it only has one string and this confused be for a good thirty seconds. :)
Also really liked Nana De Sevilla and Cinderella lifestyle! Muchos beautiful.

Alan: Sorry, missed your comment first time around. I believe Craig is coming over to Europe later this year.

Aimee: I’m sure Ian could be just as impressive on a one-stringed instrument.

    Great playing, Ian.
Guess that makes me the donkey, JCMcGee?
