   Yay – Go BUMS! :D

   You forgot about MUK – the Melbourne Ukulele Kollective (and their garishly retina-burningly bright site http://www.muk.com.au/index.html) who hosted the MUF (Melbourne Ukulele Festival) last month.

   And apparently there’s a uke group in Wellington, New Zealand? I saw it on Facebook somewhere…

   Oh, and I think the address for Ukulele Canberra in the Map might need fixing?

   Hey Woodie Woodshed, we have two groups in the Hunter Valley now – Newcastle, north of Sydney.

   The Ukastle Ukestra (Newcastle, NSW)

   and

   LakeMacUkestra (Lake Macquarie NSW).

   Great work. There are lots and lots of ukulele groups in New Zealand – 4 that I can think of off hand in my city, Rotorua, alone.

   Our group is the Thermaleles of course coming for the city of boiling mud and geysers and general thermal activity! Website to follow.

    Pineapple Concert. Label inside reads: PACIFIC UKULELE Handcrafted in Austrialia. It appears to be made of a form of KOA or Acacia. It’s my best sounding uke. I’m trying to find out who made it and if they can still be contacted.

We have a uke group here which practices each Monday between 7.00pm and 9.00pm at the local Barracks institute in main street (next to old town hall) all welcome. We are not a group but a collection of uke players who meet 1st Thursday of each month at the The Cabana Hotel. We also organise a range of events to give uke players opportunities to play in public.     Interesting to note you don’t have our club listed. We are Australia’s second oldest Ukulele Club based in the St George and Sutherland Shire. Formed in 2004 we are known as SSCUM – St George and Sutherland Community of Ukulele Musicians. We meet on the first Monday of each month at ‘Tradies’ club in Gymea at 6:30pm. Visitors, players or beginners all welcome. Recent guest performers have included members of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Brittain, Ralph Shaw, Jim and Liz Beloff, Jim D’Ville, Bosko and Honey, Cameron Murray. Future exciting artists booked.

    It would be great if you could insert the Wollongong ukulele group, The Swingaleles, into your list of ukulele clubs. the group has been going since May 2010 and is prominent in the Illawarra area playing many gigs and rockin’ up to uke festivals.

    Just moved from London to Canberra and am keen to set up a uke group here! I miss the fun of Ukulele Wednesdays at the pub on TCR! There is already URoC, but im looking to set up something a little more relaxed than URoC, with beer, and free lessons & support for newbies, and a wider variety of songs.     I am contact with most clubs. I teach at Community Colleges and Festivals and am an importer and distributor of 3 major Ukulele Brands.

    This year The Blue MUGs won one of the big Tourism awards for olur Festival.

    And the next Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival will be held on the 8th and 9th February 2013 in Katoomba.

    Just letting everyone know that we have a small group of enthusiastic Uke players in Melton Victoria. We gather under the name MUSE (Melton ukulele and singing ensemble). We meet every Tuesday evening (except during School holidays). We have been going for nearly three years starting with about 5 foundation members, we now number about eighteen if everyone attends. Always happy to welcome more to the fold.
