E 4 Echo, Tokyo Police Club: UkeTube

It might be down to busyness or my clocks-going-back blues, but this week’s selection is shorter than usual. But the videos I did find, I very much enjoyed. Those videos include E 4 Echo making excellent use of a uke/cello combo and doing so while looking dapper, Tokyo Police Club breaking a string, and a new puppet ukulele duo.

If there’s something you think I’ve missed, be sure to let me know in the comments.

e 4 EcHo – Wolf

Tokyo Police Club – Wait Up (Boots of Danger)

Bobblehead & The Flakey Mojo – Mississippi Penguin

Johnny Marvin – Nobody Knows But You

Mark Occhionero – Autumn Leaves

Sanfordandsong – Prince Vince

Always thought it be cool to have a Johnny Marvin Tenor uke. Going out to the garage now to try that saw thing.Hopefully I dont develop SAS.

Kyle: Thanks. I love Michelle but I wish she’d invest in a decent mic.

W – thank you for the nod – although i do not warrant said in with the likes of Johnny Marvin (even if he is playing a saw). Peace.

Autumn leaves a highlight for me, lovely picking interspersed with nice strumming sections. Lots of texture and interest.
I also quite like e4echo although I’m not sure about his voice. The new puppets on the scene are pretty cool too, I was never to sure about those two japanese (?) chaps myself.

    Cheers, -S

    Thanks for the feature, Al.
My friend Jay who wrote and recorded the original song will be pleased I’m sure.
Here’s a link to that recording if anyone is curious about what it sounded like before the transformation to uke:

(Loved Mark’s Autumn Leaves as well…definitely going to give that one a shot)

Mark: Thanks very much for your contribution.

Foinnse: I like the singers voice. But the backing vocals could use a bit of work.

Sanford: Thanks for the link and your version.
