Wilfried Welti: Classical and Folk Tabs

If you’ve been following the blog closely you’ll certainly know Wilfried Welti. I’ve been posting his videos since 2007 and put up his two free tab books: Solo Ukulele für Einsteiger and Weihnachten mit der Ukulele.

If you were impressed by his arrangements you’ll want to get hold of the three ebooks he’s just released. He was kind enough to send me copies of them and they’re excellent. Wilfried has been working on these for years (I know because I’ve been talking to him about them for that long) and it really shows. The arrangements are as clean and meticulous as his playing.

He’s selling them way too cheap so I recommend you grab them before he comes to his senses. Here’s a quick overview of each one. But if you don’t want to faff about go here and add everything to your cart.

    Hello Al!
Thanks a lot for posting this on your blog. Indeed I really worked hard for these e-books and I’m so happy about every single bit of feedback I get.

Ok, so you say my e-books are too cheap, and maybe you’re right. Still, I yet have to see how it works out. I’m not sure at all if I will be able to continue on this track. I’d like to, but I definitely can’t tell yet if I did everything right. Future will tell.

Anyway, I hope that my e-books will be a help for many ukulele players who like playing celtic, classical and early music. I tried my best to make them as good as possible. However I’d be very happy about any constructive feedback — everything can be improved, and I want to learn.

So thanks a lot for your support! :-)

    Best regards,
    Wilfried

Thank you – I have just purchased the Celtic e-book and will probably by the other two before too long. The recordings on YouTube are very good and bring the best out of the ukulele

These are all such beautiful arrangements! I have bought them all, and the MP3s. Thank you so much! I think they will keep me very busy!

I snapped these up because they are beautiful and yes, great value for money. Little problem on payment, I have discovered – it’s by invoice, which means paying an international payment through your bank, incurring a bank charge about £15 sterling for UK folk – so I’m glad I ordered everything in one go! No Paypal offered… I went straight to my bank website to pay, to be told at the end of the form filling that the “swiftbic” code given on the invoice is wrong. So Wilfried, please will you check that code for that branch of the bank, because meanwhile I can’t pay you! Lesley

    Hi Lesley!
Thanks for this information. I definitely have to check this back. I was pretty sure it is possible to do wire transfer without additional cost within the EU. In the meantime I’d like to ask you to wait with the payment, until I found out what’s wrong. (And also check the swiftbic.) So thanks again.

Just in case you didn’t notice: You can also pay with paypal. Just cancel your first order (an informal e-mail to info@dsp-arts.com containing your details is sufficient) and order again by paypal, if you prefer this kind of payment.

    Best regards
    Wilfried

Wilfried, the BIC code corresponds to the bank code ok, I just checked – I think my bank has a problem on their website. It can’t count the number of characters in the code – I’ll have to go down there….

I just saw your comment! I’ll do what you suggested, thank you!

I really have to thank you! It’s very important for me to find out about such problems! In case of any problems please always feel free to send an e-mail.

And also thanks to all of you for your nice words about my e-books :-)

    Best regards
    Wilfried

Yes, Wilfried, the Paypal option was there, I missed it somehow! So sorry – The music and the tabs are so good, I hope you do well with them! And it’s all sorted; first order cancelled, Paypal payment gone through! Kindest regards, Lesley

Al, please feel free to delete my comments to avoid any unnecessary unease about paying for Wilfried’s tabs. I don’t know how I missed the Paypal button – it’s so easy to pay that way.

I have enjoyed Wilfried’s arrangements on my soprano and concert ukuleles in the past. I have given a few go again — and his work is quite clear and concise for those who lick to fingerpick. Recently, I have been playing my baritone ukulele all of the time. I set up one of my bari’s with Ken Middleton’s High D strings and will give these a go. I’ll also be posting WW’s links on Humble Baritonics for those who are playing the big uke. You beat me to it Al. Again.

Wilfried has had his free arrangement up for years and has posted videos of his spectacular arrangements. Playing classical music on the ukulele big or small is fun and sounds great on 4-strings.

Thanks, it’s so fun to play Greensleeves!

  12. Woodshed September 7th, 2012 7:51 am

Lesley: Glad you got it sorted out. I’ll leave it up in case anyone else has the same problem.

Jeff: Hope you’re enjoying it on the bari.

    Katie: Glad you like it!
