Beck’s album of sheet music with ukulele chords is imminent and he has released the score to the song Old Shanghai which you can download on SongReader.net and make your own version of. There’s excellent uke version here and here’s my instrumental version.

I can remember when chant had a bit of a run
in popularity a while back, Al. Always liked it
myself. Campanella would seem to be the way to go with it on uke.

Ukes are unobtrusive, quiet. Perhaps seminaries and the like can allow the devotional plucking of the dancing flea to echo through the silence to aid in contemplation. Would be a good fit it seems to me.

Of course, there’s bound to be a showoff or two who just can’t resist a round of “Hey, Soul Sister.” Just to liven things up.

And who knows, it could be the next big thing. Could be a new ‘Ukulele Kid’ just waiting in the wings to slaughter Latin.

No need for a prison cell, Rudy. And there’s some life experience shared from me to you, mate.

Thank you for the Dookielele link. It sounds incredibly good, who would have thought? Know I might look for my old Dookie album myself. I still have to check out Lou and the Llama.

Ron: I don’t remember the chanting phase. Which is a shame because it’s pretty cool.

Captain: Glad I could point you in its direction.

    UkePunk: Always a pleasure.
