Don’t forget to make your nominations for your favourite videos of 2012.
This is part two of the holiday roundup, so a few of these are eligible for nominations including Blue Dean Carcione doing a track from his new album and Dennis Schütze’s playing of Handel. Other’s you’ll have to make a note for like The Seattle Castaway’s debut video and Sarah Maisel’s wonderful version of In a Sentimental Mood.

The Seattle Castaways should cover “Liar, Liar,”
Al. It’s only right. They’d kill and I can’t recall seeing anyone else covering it.
DermitderUkulele’s Au Clair de la Lune (chant
et ukuleles divers) featuring the bravura playing of Herman Vandecauter is another one from December people might consider for the poll. I know did. Moons and swans…
One of my fave raves from the new year is a performance at a Cambridge pub that features the great crowd singalong line “They just dropped my ukulele!” Watch and sing along –

Not too long ago watched a video of the Academy of Ancient Music playing Handel whilst
sailing down the Thames for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Not half bad but a uke would have kicked things up a notch.
If I could play like Sarah that’s what I’d be doing right now instead of this.
Be remiss if I didn’t urge the locals on, so:
GO NINERS!
